Brilliant fun at any age!
"At the age of 64 my husband and I decided to give canoeing a go. We were both nervous, particularly for getting in and out of the canoe, but Steve made us feel confident and helped us and gave us lots of tips for paddling in a straight line! We had such a good time. The canal was quiet on this particular day which was helpful. Next time the kids go, grandma is no longer going to stay on the bank to look after the bags….we are in the boat!"

"This was the first time i have done kayaking a let me tell you it was so much fun! The man who I think was the owner was really lovely and so down to earth , he first off went through all the rules and where to go and how not to fall in lol then said we could stay in as long as we want as it wasn’t busy which to be fair I couldn’t stay in that long as it was such work out lol will definitely be going again."

"Steve runs a brilliant business. He was great in helping me book in advance, in checking on with me about the booking, and also liaising with the care next door. It was belting down with rain when we went today, but this didn’t dampen Steve’s hospitality or enthusiasm for boating. It’s also cracking value for money"

"Steve, the guy running the kayak hire the day we were here was so friendly and helpful, and didn't rush us. I'd totally recommend taking canoes/kayaks out here. Friendly, professional, helpful, generous. And there's a FAB cafe right next door, and a couple of circular walks for anyone who doesn't want to canoe."

Kayaking on the canal at Thrupp
"We rented a couple of Kayaks to paddle up the canal from Annie's. The canal at Thrupp is always a special place and it was lovely to be on the water there. The staff at the boat hire place were efficient and welcoming. Finished the day off with a cheese scone at Annie's. Perfect!"

"Fantastic trip down the canal! Staff were super friendly and efficient, kayaks and equipment were in good condition and great fun! The only thing we wish we had done is booked for longer! 100% recommend!"

"Had a great hour on the water. The two (young) staff were friendly, helpful, hospitable. We were slightly late getting onto the water but they didn’t make us rush back. Would definitely recommend, the canal was lovely! Just remember even if nothing capsizes you still get wet!"
Brilliant afternoon out
"We loved our canoe experience at Thrupp Canoe and Kayak Hire today. We’d been before but not for a while - the boys loved sitting in front and guiding the boat. All well organised and everything is spotlessly clean. We had a lovely ice cream in Annie’s Tea Room next door too."
