Monday Madness

1st Monday of every month for the year of 2024 between 9am and 12 o clock is free. All equipment needs to be back with us at TCKH at 12 o'clock. This does not include Oxfordshire school holidays and bank holidays. All we ask for is a little donation for our chosen charity.

Canoe Hire

Starting from £25 per hour
Our canoes at Thrupp are long narrow boats not dissimilar to the Canadian canoes. The craft has fixed bench seats that allow you to sit in an upright position.

Kayak Hire

Starting from £18 per hour
Our kayaks at Thrupp sit much lower to the water with the user sitting on top of the craft at a 90º angle supported by a backrest or seat depending on our kayaks available.

Hydrobike Hire

Starting from £30 per hour
Take cycling off the road and onto the Oxford Canal with this brilliant watersport experience – we have two Hydrobikes for hire on an hourly basis.

Paddle Board Hire

Starting from £30 per hour
Have fun, fresh air, and exercise paddle boarding on the peaceful waters of Oxfordshire. We have four stand-up Paddle boards for hire on an hourly basis.

Group Hire

Spend quality time with your friends, family, or colleagues in a unique experience on the Oxford Canal. Hire kayaks or canoes for a morning or full day with collection and delivery included.

Canoe and Kayak Hire in Oxfordshire

Why not spend some time out on the water in the idyllic setting of the Oxford Canal in Thrupp, Kidlington, Oxfordshire? Enjoy the scenic routes towards Oxford City Centre or head north towards Shipton or further afield towards Napton and beyond. (If you’re feeling really adventurous you could even get as far as Coventry on the Oxford Canal!)

We can offer a range of craft experiences at Thrupp – canoe, kayak, hydrobike and paddleboard hire. It is a truly fantastic way to spend a day out with friends or family, a birthday, stag or hen celebrations or bond with your work colleagues. We have lots of crafts for hire so large groups are welcome. Whatever the occasion we can create the perfect package to accommodate you. And great news, our buoyancy aids and paddles are provided within your hire charge. For those of you who are confused about which craft is which… you are ON a kayak and IN a canoe!

We are happy for you to bring your children or your pets (or both). We have buoyancy aids for young children (but not pets) and special pint-sized paddles for them to help you!

Just remember, children and pets are your responsibility at all times – both on land and on the water. Under 18s must be accompanied on the water by an adult (18+).

We can accommodate an hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, full day… in fact hire for as many hours or days as you want! Time slots for all crafts run on the hour subject to availability so why not book now and contact us on 01865 376 176.
